The brief was to create an ultra-realistic depiction of their wax vase while telling a story rooted in the dialogue between history and modernity echoed both in Diptyque’s artisanal & technological craftsmanship, & in the design of the vase itself, inspired by ancient art.

Concept
Once the creative direction was approved by the client, I developed the concept of a film tracing the evolution of the iconic Médicis vase silhouette.
Through a continuous lateral tracking shot across an ancient bas-relief — from the antique vase to Diptyque’s contemporary interpretation — we travel back in time, rediscovering the forms, inspirations, and gestures that shaped the elegance of the modern vase.
A visual journey that subtly weaves together History and modernity, where each era reveals a new chapter in this ongoing metamorphosis.
